Personal data

Unlawful use or disclosure of your personal data.

What to do

  1. Identify who is processing your data

Find out which organisation or person unlawfully used or disclosed your personal data.

  2. Contact the data controller directly

If possible, write to the data controller demanding that processing stop or the information be deleted — this can speed up resolution.

  3. Gather evidence

Save screenshots, links, and copies of correspondence or documents confirming the violation.

  4. File an appeal with the Ombudsman

Describe the situation via the online cabinet or hotline — the Ombudsman can carry out an inspection and take response measures.

The Ombudsman acts as the national authority for the protection of personal data and reviews complaints about unlawful processing, disclosure, or leaks of personal data.
